Foundation: 10-13th centuries

Haghartsin Monastery used to be one of the largest medieval religious centers of Armenia. It was built between the 10-13th centuries mostly under the patronage of the Bagratuni Dynasty.
The complex:
- Saint Astvatsatsin Church, rebuilt in 1281, is the largest and well-preserved monument of the complex, however, the gavit is now in ruins,
- Saint Grigor Church was built in the 10-11th centuries and the gavit by the end of 12th century.
- Saint Stepanos Church (1244)
- Refectory is built by the architect Minas in 1248
- Bagratuni's sepulcher.
