Boloraberd or Proshaberd Fortress is located in Vayots Dzor region, 6-7 km  from Vernashen, in front of Gladzor University Museum. Boloraberd was the residence of Proshyans dynasty. The construction was founded in the 13th century by Duke Prosh Proshyan. Walls and the towers are preserved. There is a chapel on the Eastern side; St. Astvatsatsin (St. Holy Virgin) Spitakavor is 1-2 km South-East of the fortress.
